De introductie van bureausysteem Kiron

Tijdloos, 'future proof' en aanvullend - dit zijn de kenmerken die het kantoor van vandaag de dag zou moeten vervullen. Met Kiron presenteerd Haworth een bureauprogramma die oprecht aan deze verwachtingen voldoet.

De Duitse ontwerper Andreas Struppler ontwierp samen met het Haworth ontwikkelingsteam een nieuw bureau- en kasten programma die in elke omgeving kunnen integreren. Corula Bode, Product Manager van Haworth Duitsland geeft aan dat Kiron oorspronkelijk alleen voor de Noord Europese markt ontwikkeld was: "It is certainly our aim to develop products for the global market, which means we shall introduce the Kiron desk system to the North American market. We also heard that there is interest for the system in the Asian market." aldus Cordula Bode.

Kiron stelt hoge ecologische normen: "Amongst others, we use table tops based on wood chip - a by-product which until recently was just disposed of - now our raw wood material is used  up to 100 percent." zegt Cordula Bode. En volgens deze lijnen, gebruikt Haworth ook aluminium als duurzaam materiaal voor hun frames.  

Zoals Cordula Bode onderstreept "Kiron is a product which stays in the background while merging into the architectural environment." Bij elkaar passende schermen en accessoires ronden het nieuwe product af aldus de product manager  "Haworth plans to further develop Kiron into a new core program - further extensions are already in the pipeline. We took special care during development to make sure that the new line-up can be combined with our other products. The universal design strategy allows the combination with  our new chair families Very and System 59."

Kiron is leverbaar vanaf februari 2010.
